K9

The K9 is the first Ultra Mobile Authentication Key (UMAK) to bring the Trust component to a Trusted Strong Authentication and Non-Repudiation platform.  It does this by incorporating a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) into the design.  The K9 then implements a Trusted Stack which builds a chain of trust from the hardware to the authentication of the user using biometrics.

Developers can use the K9 to extend the Trusted Stack beyond the authentication of the user to build Trusted "white listed" Services which can for the first time guarantee the person who is connecting to the services.  Any partner who values their information to need to guarantee who is accessing it at any point and use a white listing methodology for access as opposed to a traditional black listing model where ta rust is assumed until a problem is found needs this to build a trusted solution for their customers.

Partners who develop single Trusted Services based on existing solutions find they are quickly the portal to other trusted services to their customers.  What starts as applying to the most important and valuable information quickly spreads to all the valuable information of an organization due to how simple the solution is to the person using the device.

To use a K9 UMAK a person simply plugs the device into a USB port of any computer and the authentication protocol will present itself allowing people to identify themselves using biometrics on the device.  After the person correctly identifies himself and is authorized to access the services, a chain of trust is extended to the service allowing simple yet secure access to trusted white listed services without the risk of rogue services or applications affecting the solution.
